Privacy policy

Last updated 14 October 2026. This policy explains how James Hepburn, trading as Million Dollar Ads, collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit this website or join the Million Dollar Ads challenge. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you buy a ticket: your name, email address, billing country and payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

When you add the VIP day: Stripe keeps your payment method on file from your ticket purchase so you can add VIP with one click. You choose whether to buy it, and nothing is charged without you clicking.

When you use this site: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and where you came from (for example the ad you clicked, including utm and fbclid tags).

When you contact us or join the community: whatever you choose to send us, such as questions, your business details or the ads you share for feedback.

How we use it

To sell and deliver the challenge: process your payment, send your receipt, Google Meet links, reminders, replays and bonus material.

To run and improve this site and our ads: measure which ads and pages work, and show our ads to people likely to be interested.

To talk to you about the challenge and related offers from Million Dollar Ads. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in every email.

To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to handle refunds and disputes.

Cookies, the Meta Pixel and analytics

This site uses the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. They record events such as page views, starting checkout and purchases. When you buy, we send Meta a hashed (scrambled) version of your email so it can match the purchase to an ad. Meta can't read the original email from the hash.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site.

We keep your ad tags (utm and fbclid) in your browser for the current visit only, so your purchase is credited to the right ad. They are cleared when you close the tab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and change how Meta uses your activity in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. The site still works without them.

Who we share it with

We only share what each provider needs to do its job:

Stripe (payments), Meta (ad measurement), Google (analytics), Google Workspace (Google Meet and Calendar, running the live sessions), Resend (emails), WhatsApp (the challenge group, if you join), and Vercel (website hosting).

We also share information with our accountants and advisers, or with authorities when the law requires it.

We don't sell your personal information.

Overseas storage

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We use well-known providers with their own security and privacy commitments, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Live sessions and recordings

The challenge runs live on Google Meet and sessions are recorded and transcribed for replays. If you turn on your camera, speak, or post in the chat, that may appear in the recording. Keep your camera off and use a first name only if you'd rather not appear. If you share your ads or business details for live feedback, other attendees will see them.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Payments run through Stripe's secure checkout, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, tax records for 5 years), then delete or de-identify it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Email james@milliondollarvideoads.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, email james@milliondollarvideoads.com with the details and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
